We love our plant babies and our cat babies. Some cats are great around houseplants and don’t try to eat or destroy them. Then you have cats who are psycho and knock plants over, dig in the soil or even eat them! Tips to keep your cats away from your houseplants

Keeping cats away from your houseplants can be a challenge, but there are several effective strategies you can use to protect your plants:

1. Create Deterrents

• Citrus Peels: Place orange, lemon, or lime peels in the soil. Cats dislike the smell of citrus.
• Cat-Safe Sprays: Use a store-bought cat deterrent spray or make your own with water, lemon juice, and a few drops of essential oil like lavender (ensure it’s safe for cats).
• Aluminum Foil or Sticky Tape: Cats dislike the texture and sound, so placing these on the soil or near pots can deter them.

2. Provide Alternatives

• Cat Grass: Offer a designated pot of cat grass for chewing to satisfy their nibbling instincts.
• Scratching Posts: Distract your cat with a scratching post or interactive toys placed away from your plants.

3. Make Plants Less Accessible
