Start caring for your Bird of Paradise by planting it in the right soil. Bird of Paradise like soils that are well draining and rich with organic matter.
Here's our DIY quick mix 1 part potting mix 1 part perlite 1 part orchid bark 1/2 part worm castings
When your soil is half way dry water your plant until you see water coming out of the drainage hole.
The Bird of Paradise enjoys bright light. Put it in the brightest room you have or place a grow light above your plant.
Get on a fertilizer schedule. Water when needed and wipe the leaves down once a month. Provide humidity if your home is very dry.
